☘️ Celtics crush the Heat, win second game in a row. Things weren’t looking great for Boston in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Celtics lost home court advantage after losing both games in TD Garden to begin the series, then lost Game 3 by 26 points in Miami. However, the No.2 seed in the Eastern Conference has since turned things around and has been in the win column twice in the last two games, winning by an average margin of 15 points. No team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in NBA history, but after a near triple-double from Jayson Tatum last night the Celtics are one step closer to becoming the first.

🤕 Malcolm Brogdon fighting through injury, exits Game 5 after eight minutes. Malcolm Brogdon has been a huge part of the Celtics offense in the postseason, but an elbow injury could put him on the bench for the rest of the series. Brogdon came into last night’s matchup with Miami as questionable, and was pulled out of the game after playing only eight minutes and failing to score a point. Most people though he was healthy after being cleared to play in Game 5, but his status moving forward is the biggest question mark in this series.

🥅 Joe Pavelski saves Dallas’ season, for now. Just like the Boston Celtics, the Dallas Stars dug themselves quite the hole early on in the conference final. Dallas went down 0-3 to the Vegas Golden Knights, but finally got its first win of the series in a 3-2 overtime victory last night. Joe Pavelski was the hero, scoring his fourth game-winning goal of the postseason and 18th playoff game-winner of his career. Pavelski now ranks first amongst active players in career playoff goals with 73, and is fifth all-time in playoff game-winners. Game 5 will be played in Las Vegas on Saturday.

There are 15 MLB games set to take place throughout this afternoon and evening. However, due to some gaps in the early season data, our model has predictions for 13 of today’s matchups.

We are eyeing up two plays today. The first being the Tampa Bay Rays ML against the Dodgers, and the other being Rangers/Orioles over 8.5.
